Tara (“Tara”, “we”, “us”) is an AI voice companion operated by Safari Tech Pvt Ltd. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Tara at yourstara.com or our apps, you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address or phone number (used to sign you in), and your name and preferred language if you provide them.
- Your conversations — to give you continuity, we store a private record of what you and Tara talk about, and a set of “memories” (facts you’ve shared) tied to your account.
- Voice — when you talk to Tara, your audio is processed in real time to power the conversation. We do not sell your voice or use it to train third-party models.
- Usage & technical data — basic logs (session counts, timestamps, errors) to run the service securely and prevent abuse.
How we use it
- To provide the service and personalise it — so Tara remembers you and speaks your language.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce usage limits.
- To improve Tara’s quality and reliability.
- If you subscribe, to process payments and manage your plan.
Who we share it with (processors)
We use trusted providers strictly to operate Tara:
- Supabase — authentication and database (your account and private data).
- ElevenLabs — real-time conversational voice.
- Google — “Sign in with Google” (only if you choose it).
- Vercel — hosting.
- A payment provider (e.g. Razorpay) if you subscribe.
We do not sell your personal data.
Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Your private rows are protected so that only your account can access them. Secrets and API keys are kept server-side, never in your browser or app.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your data — including your conversation history and memories — by emailing us. We’ll act on verified requests promptly.
Children
Tara is intended for users 13 years and older. If you are under the age of majority in your region, please use Tara with a parent or guardian’s consent.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll post the new version here with a revised date.
